I am a writer, editor, gardener, family cook and lover of food preservation.  I am foremost a mother and teach my children these practices, living in the beautiful Methow Valley of the North Cascade Mountains.

My published work is found online and in newspapers and magazines in a wide spectrum of journalism.  Writing is a joy on this site, centered on gardening up the earth, preserving it’s fruits and cooking fine foods from our heritage.
